First Blog: Welcome to the new site
Posted in Opinions, Rants, and Musings on January 11th, 2008Hello, I would like to officially welcome everyone to my new website…new content will be posted as it becomes available, and I will try to update my blog regularly to keep all those interested abreast of my doings. I would like to take this time to stress that, for the most part, I will not be using the blog for commentary about my personal life, i.e. developments with me that are not specifically related to my literary goals and achievements. This site is for my writing, which I view as a professional matter, therefore you’re not going to be seeing anything posted that I view as frivolous or extraneous. That being said, I’m going to have some personal musings here from time to time that cannot be found elsewhere, on subjects that attract my attention for whatever reason, and I always welcome feedback on any of that, or on any of the individual fiction, nonfiction, poetry, teasers, or any other specific works to be found on this site. I want to share my writing, which is why I got this website off the ground, and I think that, largely unpublished as I am, this is the best way to reach the largest possible audience. For those unfamiliar with my work, I thought that the latest collection of my shorter material, The Lean Years, is a good place to start. It’s the third of its kind, and I don’t plan on posting its two predecessors, but if anyone is interested in taking a peek at them, you can contact me through myspace using the link provided, or on my personal email account at smf17@msn.com. In addition to the first two collections, I’m sitting on the manuscripts of two novels and a screenplay, excerpts of which are available upon request in most cases. So enjoy, and check back here often. More to come- Steven
